Authorities in Tempe, Arizona, are conducting an investigation after a Wells Fargo worker was discovered deceased in her workspace four days after her last entry into the building.

On August 20, Tempe Police Department officers responded to the office after being alerted by building security.

Police identified the worker as Denise Prudhomme, 60.

Her cause of death has not yet been determined.

"The initial investigation revealed no apparent signs of foul play," police stated.

Prudhomme recorded her entry into the building on the morning of Friday, Aug. 16, police stated. Her remains were located on Aug. 20 in her third-floor work area, and she was declared dead at 4:55 p.m., according to officials.

A Wells Fargo representative indicated that Prudhomme's workspace was located in a less populated area of the building and that her colleagues were informed of her passing after her family was notified.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague, Denise Prudhomme," a spokesperson said. "Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and we are in contact with them to ensure they receive support during this difficult time."

A spokesperson for Wells Fargo indicated that counselors would be accessible to provide support to employees impacted by the event.

"Our commitment is to the safety and well-being of our employees," the spokesperson emphasized.
