A Georgia community is grieving after a tragic shooting at Apalachee High School on Wednesday morning claimed the lives of two students and two teachers, according to official reports.
Nine additional victims were transported to hospitals with injuries, but are expected to make a full recovery, according to GBI Director Chris Hosey.
The suspect, a 14-year-old student, has been apprehended and will face adult charges, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) announced.
Hosey identified the four victims Wednesday evening. Their ages ranged from 14 to 53 years old. Here is what we know about the individuals who lost their lives:
Mason Schermerhorn
Mason Schermerhorn, a 14-year-old student at the high school, was identified by the GBI.
Christian Angulo
Christian Angulo, a 14-year-old student at the high school, was confirmed by the GBI.
Richard Aspinwall
Richard Aspinwall, a 39-year-old teacher at Apalachee High School, was identified by the GBI.
Aspinwall, a math instructor, also served as the defensive coordinator for the school's football team, according to the school's website.
Christina Irimie
Christina Irimie, a math teacher at Apalachee High School, was 53 years old, according to the GBI.
