Bloomberg’s report, citing sources familiar with Apple’s plans, suggests that the iPhone 16 series will be officially launched on September 10. Apple is expected to introduce four new models at this event: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. This launch is anticipated to be Apple’s final major event of the year.

Following Apple’s tradition of swift product rollouts, the new iPhones are expected to be available for purchase shortly after the launch, starting on September 20. This aligns with Apple’s usual strategy of ensuring minimal wait times between product announcements and availability.

Pricing leaked

In addition to the launch dates, pricing details for the iPhone 16 series have also been revealed online. According to information shared by Apple Hub on X (formerly Twitter), the base model of the iPhone 16 is expected to be priced at $799, which is approximately Rs 67,100 in India. The iPhone 16 Plus, with a larger screen, might be priced at $899, or roughly Rs 75,500.

For those seeking premium options, the iPhone 16 Pro is likely to start at $1,099 (around Rs 92,300) for the 256GB model. The top-of-the-line iPhone 16 Pro Max could begin at $1,199 (approximately Rs 1,00,700) for the same storage capacity. Both the standard and Pro models are anticipated to be available in various storage configurations. The standard models are expected to offer 256GB and 512GB options, while the Pro variants might come in 512GB and 1TB options.

For context, the iPhone 15 Pro was launched in India at Rs 1,34,900, while the Pro Max was priced at Rs 1,59,900. The iPhone 15 was priced at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB model, and the Plus version was available at Rs 89,900.

While the standard iPhone 16 models are projected to maintain similar price points, the Pro versions may see an increase in price due to various upgrades. However, these details are not yet officially confirmed.
