The 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) is the third edition of the cycle of Test matches played between multiple countries over the two year window. The cycle began in June 2023 with the historic Ashes, contested between England and Australia, and is scheduled to conclude in June 2025 with the final to be played between 11-15 June at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

The WTC 2023-25 cycle consists of 27 series and 69 matches in the league stage. The top two teams will compete in the final at Lord’s.

Throughout the championship cycle, each team participates in six series, consisting of two to five Test matches each. Three of these series are played at home, while the remaining three take place away from their home ground.

The scoring system for the championship remains consistent with the previous edition. A victory earns a team 12 points, while a tie grants each side 6 points. A drawn match is worth 4 points for each team, and a loss yields no points.

In addition to match results, teams can also face penalties for failing to maintain the required over rates. Each over a team falls behind the stipulated rate results in a deduction of one point.

Instead of using total points accumulated, teams are ranked based on the percentage of total points won out of total points contested.
