Paris Paralympics 2024: Preethi Pal wins India's third medal with bronze in 100m T35 race

Preethi Pal won India’s third medal at the Paris Paralympics 2024 on Friday as she clinched the bronze in the Women’s 100m - T35 race. The Indian sprinter won her first Summer Games medal with a timing of 14.21. This is also India’s first para-athletics medal at the 2024 Games.
The first two medals at the ongoing Games were won by shooters Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal in R2 Women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1. While Avani won gold, Mona clinched the bronze.

In the Women’s 100m - T35 race, China’s XIa Zhou and Qianqian Guo won the gold and silver medals with a timing of 13.58 and 13.74 respectively.
