Jadeja released, Siraj, Malik ruled out as BCCI announces changes to Duleep Trophy squads

The BCCI on Tuesday announced a few changes to the Duleep Trophy 2024-25 squads for the first round. Pacer Navdeep Saini has been added to the team ‘India B’ squad as a replacement for Mohammed Siraj, while Gaurav Yadav will replace Umran Malik in the team ‘India C’ squad. Both Siraj and Malik are suffering from an illness and are not expected to be fit in time for their Duleep Trophy fixtures.

Advertisement All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also been released from the team ‘India B’ squad.

The Duleep Trophy 2024-25 is scheduled to commence on September 5, 2024, at the Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru venues.

Revised teams for the first round of Duleep Trophy 2024-25: India A: Shubman Gill (C), Mayank Agarwal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel (WK), KL Rahul, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Tanush Kotian, Kuldeep Yadav, Akash Deep, Prasidh Krishna, Khaleel Ahmed, Avesh Khan, Vidwath Kaverappa, Kumar Kushagra, Shaswat Rawat.

India B Squad: Abhimanyu Easwaran (Captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper), Musheer Khan, Nitish Kumar Reddy*, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini, Yash Dayal, Mukesh Kumar, Rahul Chahar, R Sai Kishore, Mohit Awasthi, N Jagadeesan (Wicketkeeper).

India C Squad: Ruturaj Gaikwad (Captain), Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, Abishek Porel (Wicketkeeper), Suryakumar Yadav, B Indrajith, Hrithik Shokeen, Manav Suthar, Gaurav Yadav, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Anshul Khamboj, Himanshu Chauhan, Mayank Markande, Aryan Juyal (Wicketkeeper), Sandeep Warrier.
