Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Monday that there are attempts to rekindle terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. However, he assured the people that under the Modi government, no one will dare to spread terrorism on Indian soil.
Addressing an election rally in J&K’s Kishtwar, Shah said, “Today, I remember all the martyrs from this region and make a promise before you, that we will end terrorism in such a way that it will never rise again. There are efforts being made to support terrorism here again."

“But I assure you today, as long as Narendra Modi’s government is in power, no one will dare to spread terrorism on Indian soil,” added the home minister.
He asserted that the upcoming election is a battle between two distinct forces, one side represented by the National Conference and PDP, and the other by the BJP.
“The NC-Congress are saying that if we form the government we will restore Article 370. Tell me should it be restored? Your reservation, given by BJP to Paharis and Gujjars and others, will be snatched.

He emphasized his fulfillment of the promise to provide reservation to Pahadis without affecting the Gurjar reservation.

This was the home minister’s second visit to the Jammu region within a two-week period. Earlier, during his two-day trip to Jammu on September 6 and 7, he unveiled the BJP’s manifesto for the J&K Assembly elections and addressed a gathering of party workers.
Monday marks the final day for campaigning in 24 Assembly constituencies, which are set to vote in the first phase on September 18.
