BRIDGEHAMPTON, N.Y. -- BRIDGEHAMPTON, N.Y. (AP) — Ralph Lauren took to Hamptons horse country for a rollout of his signature Americana featuring first lady Jill Biden, Usher and Colman Domingo on his front row and Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and a bevy of adorable kids on his runway.

As the sun began to set, horses and riders gracefully moved through a nearby field, their silhouettes framed by a white picket fence at a luxurious equestrian complex. Lauren presented a collection of bright and stylish ensembles, including crisp tennis whites, delicate baby blue dresses and jackets, and vibrant orange, green, and yellow looks for men, women, and the adorable children.

As the open-air fashion show concluded, the guests made their way to a special dinner hosted in an on-site pop-up of Lauren's iconic Polo Bar restaurant.

Taking a bow alongside Biden , Lauren expressed his deep connection to the Hamptons, where he owns a home and has cherished memories from his childhood. For his spring 2025 collection, a day before the official commencement of New York Fashion Week , he chose Khalily Stables, an impressive 19-acre equestrian facility, as the perfect backdrop for his presentation.

Lauren seamlessly blended his Ralph Lauren Collection, Purple Label, Polo Ralph Lauren, and children's wear lines in a lengthy presentation, emphasizing the practicality and wearability of his designs on a beautiful evening as summer transitioned into fall.

The collection featured a range of styles, from relaxed picnic looks with soft blue dresses and white trousers and shorts paired with stripes and jackets, to elegant eveningwear, highlighted by a stunning long blush pearled skirt worn by Campbell with a simple yet chic knotted white T-shirt.

For the men, Lauren presented slim cuffed trousers, blue floral dinner jackets, and bold color blocking with orange pants paired with navy nautical jackets and wide, multicolored ties over pinstripe shirts.

White and blue hues were prevalent, with subtle additions of crochet and khaki. He included touches of glamour with shimmering sequined evening gowns, backless white cocktail dresses, and blue blouses. He also added a hint of his signature style to a pair of ripped khaki trousers and other ensembles.

Lauren's diverse age range, from young children to teenagers, was prepared for any occasion.

One individual sported white shorts and a green raincoat, reminiscent of the U.S. Open, which the company recently sponsored. This outfit was designed for ball crews and on-court officials. Others wore high riding boots with blue polo shirts and matching pants. Still others were dressed as mini preppy fashion icons, wearing pinstripe button-down shirts, navy jackets, and cropped white pants.

The performance, Usher reflected later, was “quintessential American life. That's American affection. That's family.”

Another guest, Tom Hiddleston, echoed this sentiment. “It's a remarkably precise and intelligent vision because you find yourself thinking, 'I want to be part of this. I want to experience this lifestyle,' ” he remarked. "Truly inspiring.”

Domingo added: "You witnessed a remarkable spectrum of people, all shapes, sizes, and colors, feeling a sense of belonging and unity.”

Fellow guest Jude Law succinctly summarized the atmosphere: “An aspiration for a better world.”

Naomi Watts, Kasey Musgraves, Demi Singleton, and Justin Theroux were also among Lauren's guests. So was Kim Min-jeong, known as Winter, from the popular K-pop girl group Aespa.

In his show notes, Lauren described the Hamptons as “much more than just a place. It's a natural paradise with endless blue skies, the vast ocean, lush green fields, and white fences, blending rustic charm with elegance. It's a place where the quality of light has attracted artists for decades.”

He referred to this summer retreat for New Yorkers like himself as his "home away from home," a "refuge and constant source of inspiration.” Perhaps Lauren has a knack for navigating New York's notoriously congested traffic. Some of his city guests, who lacked the luxury of private helicopters, found themselves stuck in traffic for a grueling four hours on their way to the show.

The company has had a successful year. In addition to the U.S. Open, Lauren designed the uniforms for Team USA at the Paris Games.
