'Nightbitch' Trailer: Amy Adams Turns Into a Dog in New Movie

Searchlight Pictures has unveiled the trailer for “ Nightbitch ,” a horror-comedy starring Amy Adams , adapted from Rachel Yoder's 2021 novel.
According to the official synopsis, "Nightbitch" follows an "artist who puts her career on hold to become a stay-at-home mom [and] seeks a new chapter in her life [who] encounters just that, when her nightly routine takes a surreal turn and her maternal instincts begin to manifest in canine form.”
Adams leads the cast joined by Scoot MacNairy, Mary Holland, Jessica Harper, Zoë Chao, Ella Thomas, Stacey Swift, Archana Rajan, Adrienne Rose White, Darius De La Cruiz and Roslyn Gentle.

Initially intended for a direct-to-streaming release on Hulu, Searchlight later decided to give the film a wide theatrical release.
Adams hasn't appeared on the big screen in almost three years, her last starring role being in Disney's "Disenchanted," which was released directly to Disney+ in 2022. However, the Oscar-winning actor has three other feature films slated for release in the coming years, including Kornél Mundruczó's "At the Sea," "The Invite" alongside Paul Rudd and "Klara and the Sun" with Jenna Ortega.
Marielle Heller serves as director and co-wrote the screenplay with Yoder. Adams, Heller, Anne Carey, Sue Naegle, Stacy O’Neil and Christina Oh are the film's producers. Yoder, Allison Rose Carter, Megan Ellison, Adam Paulsen and Sammy Scher are credited as executive producers. Annapurna Pictures, Archer Gray, Bond Group Entertainment and Defiant By Nature are the production companies behind the film.
“Nightbitch” is set to hit theaters on December 6. View the trailer below.
