Justin Timberlake is expected to plead guilty in Sag Harbor, N.Y., on Friday in connection with his drunk driving arrest in June, according to local reports.

Timberlake, 43, was charged with driving under the influence after police observed him swerving and failing to stop at a stop sign. The arresting officer reported that Timberlake's eyes appeared bloodshot and glassy, and that he struggled during a roadside sobriety test. Timberlake refused to take a Breathalyzer test.

Timberlake's lawyer had previously refuted claims that his client was intoxicated.

“The most crucial point to understand about this case is that Justin was not under the influence and should not have been apprehended for DWI,” the attorney, Ed Burke, stated in July.

Burke declined to comment on the plea agreement, which was initially reported by TMZ and later confirmed by Newsday, citing “sources with knowledge of the case details.”

Timberlake is anticipated to appear in person before Justice Carl Irace to enter his plea.

The singer reportedly informed the officers that he was escorting friends home after having one martini.

Timberlake recently finished a European tour, performing in cities like Hamburg, Germany and Lyon, France.
