Frankie Valli is speaking out amid concerns over his health, telling fans that nobody is forcing him to perform against his will. Videos of the 90-year-old Four Seasons frontman have gone viral on social media platforms like TikTok in recent weeks due to the singer appearing frail and disoriented on stage. The videos sparked widespread concern among Valli’s fans, with some wondering if the singer was being forced to perform and others accusing his team of committing elder abuse.
Valli disputed the claims in a statement to People magazine in which he stressed that nobody ever forces him to do anything he doesn’t want. The singer doubled down and said he has no plans to stop performing at this time.

“I am aware there has been a lot of talk about me online recently, so I wanted to set the record straight,” Valli shared. “I am fortunate to be 90 years old and still be doing what I love. As long as I am capable, and audiences want to see me, I will be out there performing. I genuinely adore what I do. And I know we deliver a great show because our fans continue to come out in droves and the show still rocks.”
“How do we achieve the show?! The Four Seasons sound has always been about layering vocals and instruments,” he explained. “We leverage our 60 years of experience to recreate the sound of the recordings. I sing, I have singers who sing, exceptional arrangements….everything. I find it humorous when people question if someone is forcing me onto the stage. No one has ever made me do anything I didn’t want to do.”
Valli declared, “I intend to continue performing as long as I am able, delivering that signature Four Seasons sound. Just like the line in ‘Jersey Boys,’ I’m like that bunny on TV, constantly going and going. Chasing the music.”
Valli is currently touring with the Four Seasons, performing hits such as “Sherry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and more. His next performance is scheduled for Oct. 11 in Prior Lake, Minn., followed by stops in Illinois, Texas, and other locations through the end of the month. Valli’s tour is currently set to continue through April 2025.
